In 2017, I led the end-to-end design of one of the most formative projects in my career. The goal was to simplify a job search experience that was notoriously long and complicated.
Through research, we saw how much commuting affected people’s lives: lost time, missed family moments, and added stress.
So we flipped the job search model. Instead of starting with the role or company, our app started with location. That shift became the foundation of Práce za rohem — literally, “Work Around the Corner.”
By putting proximity first, we helped people find better matches 3× faster while saving hours of commuting each week.
Eight years later, the app is still widely used, and while the design changed here and there, the core principles remains unchanged.
